La rappresentazione del fenomeno delle committenze artistiche in ambiente digitale: il caso della famiglia Buonaccorsi

One of the main problems concerning historical research into the artistic patronage of noble families is the difficulty of finding the information needed to reconstruct the relationships between patron, artist and the contexts in which they acted. The solution to this problem would be to systematically collect the necessary information, scattered over different sources - paper or digital - and stored in various institutes, and then upload it in the form of open data onto a web-based knowledge base. The project presented here examines the emblematic case of the patronage of the Buonaccorsi family of Macerata and the possibility of representing through the use of Linked Open Data the relationships that existed between this family and the commissioned artists in a Wikidata environment, without neglecting the conservation of the movable and immovable patrimony of the family.
