Biblioteche in cammino. L’esperienza del CoBiS: i progetti Linked Open Data e Digital library
Keywords:
Linked Open Data, CoBIS, CoBIS LOD, augmented catalogAbstract
The LOD (linked open data) experience of the CoBiS currently includes 12 libraries that are part of the Coordination of special and specialized libraries in the Turin metropolitan area. The project, financed by the Piedmont Region, provides for the sharing of the cataloging data of the individual libraries on the portal https://dati.cobis.to.it/. A new online site has thus been created which thanks to linked open data technology allows the user to search for catalog data but also to acquire new information, thanks to links to other external sources such as, for example, wikipedia. The digitization of bibliographic and archival collections of institutes related to the CoBiS (CoBiS Digital Library & Archives) will soon be integrated into the CoBiS LODproject: an improvement of the service for users in the Italian and foreign panorama of experimentation related to linked open data.
