The Administrative and Management Metadata (MAG) standard can be applied to digital copies from microfilms, in particular for coeval finding aids. The advantages of this solution consist in the possibility of assembling different MAG files, corresponding to different coils, in order to build the unit saved on the microfilm, and using the <stru> section in order to maintain the internal partitions of registers, address books and indexes. An example of application of this standard to the register of contractors of notarial acts called Masini Index (XIV-XVII centuries) is provided.
