The article outlines the path taken by the Italian Institute of Germanic Studies on the road to digitizing both its editorial products and the ancient collections of its library. In a first phase, the complete collection of the journal «Studi germanici» from 1935 to the present was digitized and made available to the public in pdf format through the Institute’s website. In a next phase, the monographs published by the Institute and over 150 bibliographic units belonging to the ancient collection (18th-19th century) will be deposited and made available for consultation on the Archiui platform.
