Synergistic Data Integration: Linked Open Data for Multiple Sources in the EGELI Project of the Intesa Sanpaolo Historical Archives

Authors

The use of the LOD paradigm can be strategic and highly effective as it allows for the harmonization and integration of data from diverse archives, facilitating the creation of semantic links and promoting interoperability. By ensuring a unified and comprehensive consultation of the heritage, it enhances data reuse and active participation in inter-institutional “knowledge networks.” An example of this is the “EGELI Project,” focusing on documentation related to the requisition of Jewish assets following the enactment of the racial laws. This project, implemented by the Intesa Sanpaolo Historical Archive, aims to shed further light on the period of antisemitic persecution under the Fascist regime from a patrimonial perspective: the spoliation of movable and immovable property owned by Jewish individuals.
