Il progetto ARTPAST

Nel dicembre 2003 veniva approvato dal Comitato interministeriale per la programmazione economica (CIPE) il progetto ARTPAST (Applicazione informatica in rete per la tutela del patrimonio nelle aree sotto utilizzate), redatto su richiesta di Mario Serio per consolidare e meglio basare le procedure di controllo della circolazione delle opere d’arte. Il progetto si proponeva di migliorare l’attività di tutela, portando a condivisione la conoscenza del patrimonio fin lì raggiunta, a supporto dell’attività di contrasto verso furti, alienazioni e possibili connessi tentativi di esportazione illegale; a completamento di ciò si proponeva di sperimentare modalità di recupero e strutturazione delle conoscenze scaturite in occasione di restauri.
