Verso un’integrazione dei servizi bibliografici nazionali

Abstract

Il progetto Sistema di Ricerca Integrato e Catalogo generale delle risorse descritte nelle principali banche dati gestite dall’ICCU ha l’obiettivo di realizzare un modello di integrazione nella ricerca e restituzione dei dati dei sistemi informativi e delle basi dati specialistiche gestiti dall’ICCU: SBN, EDIT16, Manus OnLine (MOL), Biblioteca Digitale Italiana (BDI) e Internet Culturale.

Tali sistemi saranno così accessibili tramite un'interfaccia univoca pur mantenendo la loro autonomia applicativa che garantirà l’accesso e la consultazione anche tramite le interfacce specialistiche.
Il progetto ha la finalità di superare la frammentazione e la pluralità delle piattaforme per l’accesso all’informazione, considerandole all’interno di una logica di “sistema”. In tal modo sarà possibile includere e integrare tutte le informazioni già disponibili, a qualsiasi livello di descrizione e collegamento a risorse digitali.
Nell’articolo si ripercorrono brevemente le fasi progettuali e i processi evolutivi che sono stati sviluppati in questi anni dall’ICCU e che hanno portato alla definizione di un nuovo accesso ai servizi bibliografici nazionali e a nuovi contenuti diversi dall’ambito bibliografico.
