Abstract

Il 23 e 24 giugno 2011 la biblioteca nazionale Széchényi di Budapest ha ospitato laseconda conferenza internazionale del progetto DC NET dal titolo “Digitization of cultural heritage and long term preservation - the role of e-infrastructures” (“La digitalizzazione del patrimonio culturale e la conservazione a
lungo termine delle memorie digitali: il ruolo delle e-infrastructure”). L’obiettivo principale dell’incontro – che si è
svolto sotto l’egida della presidenza unghere- se del consiglio dell’Unione europea - era quello di indagare quali benefici possono ricavare le istituzioni culturali per la conservazione a lungo termine del patrimonio culturale digitale dall’utilizzo delle grandi infrastrutture per la ricerca che forniscono servizi avanzati in termini di performance tecnologiche.
La conferenza di Budapest è il secondo capitolo di una serie di incontri internazionali che si sono svolti e si svolgeranno ancora nel corso del progetto DC NET.
