Abstract

A  Roma, nella sede dell’ICCU il 16 dicembre 2011, si è tenuto il primo Meeting nazionale degli  stakeholder italiani del progetto Europeo ARROWPlus, prosecuzione del progetto ARROW (Accessible Registries of Rights Information and Orphan Works towards Europeana). L’evento è stato  organizzato  dall’ICCU in collaborazione con  l’Associazione  Italiana Editori  (AIE) e la Federation  of  European Publishers (FEP). Dopo un saluto di Maurizio Fallace, Direttore Generale per le biblioteche, gli istituti culturali e il diritto d’autore, il meeting è stato aperto da Rossella Caffo (ICCU) che ha presentato le finalità dell’incontro e ha messo in evidenza il particolare interesse in ambito bibliotecario per il progetto, in quanto strumento operativo a supporto delle attività di digitalizzazione, al fine di rendere disponibili in rete le collezioni digitali.  Piero Attanasio (AIE), ha illustrato il progetto
ARROW, finanziato dalla Commissione Europa nell’ambito del programma eContentplus, che riunisce un consorzio di partner e associati di oltre 30 organizzazioni di 13 paesi europei tra
biblioteche nazionali ed universitarie associazioni di editori ed autori, società di gestione collettiva dei diritti, organismi internazionali come l’European Digital Library Fondation (EDL),  l’International Federation  of Reproduction Rights Organizations (IFRRO),la Federation of European Publishers (FEP).
