Un tesoro nascosto: il progetto di valorizzazione del carteggio Pietro Mascagni - Anna Lolli

The Anna Lolli fond is kept inside the Pietro Mascagni Historical Museum in Bagnara di Romagna and includes, in addition to various kinds of materials (musical scores, autographed photographs, publications relating musicians, newspapers, ecc.), a real “hidden treasure” consisting of thousands of letters between Mascagni and Anna Lolli. This correspondence is still little known today and represents an extremely important source to trace the life of Mascagni and of all the people who collaborated with him. This paper describes the project which began in 2018 and which will allow everyone to discover this immense cultural heritage about one of the most important musicians of the twentieth century.
