DigItalia, a journal dedicated to digital technologies in cultural heritage, published by ICCU since 2005, is part of the Italian landscape of specialized periodical publishing with the aim of promoting study and critical discussion on the application of digital technologies to cultural heritage. The journal addresses these topics from an international and interdisciplinary perspective.
The journal is recognized by ANVUR as a Class A periodical for the following areas: 11/A1 – Medieval History, 11/A2 – Modern History, 11/A4 – Book and Document Studies and Historical-Religious Studies, and 10/A1 – Archaeology. It is also included in the lists of scientific publications for all areas 10 – Ancient, Philological-Literary and Art-Historical Studies, and 11 – Historical, Philosophical and Educational Studies.
Since 2012, the journal has been published on OJS, an open-access platform that ensures search functionality across metadata and full text. The platform has recently been updated, becoming fully accessible and improving the user consultation experience.
